Alice in Wonderland Anime Film Reveals Trailer, Cast Members

Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland-Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland-, the upcoming anime film from studio P.A. Works based on Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland adventures, has just revealed some new cast members and a fresh trailer. Let’s take a look.

Joining the cast are Subaru Kimura as Tweedledum, Ayumu Murase as Tweedledee, Yūki Ono as Yamane, and Natsuki Hanae in an as-yet-unannounced role. Previously announced stars are Nanoka Hara as lead Rise alongside Maika Pugh as Alice.

Also revealed today is the film’s theme song, which is called “Zukan” (“Picture Book”) and is performed by the band Sekai no Owari. Sekai no Owari have previously contributed themes to projects like the live-action Attack on Titan films, One Piece (25th opening) and Mary and the Witch’s Flower. The new trailer, which you can see below, features a preview of the song.

The story of Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland- follows a modern-day girl named Rise who ends up in Wonderland, where she meets Alice. The film is directed by Toshiya Shinohara (Black Butler) with a script by Yuko Kakihara (Trapezium). Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland- premieres in Japanese theaters on August 29.
