The anime A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! (or Yokai Gakko no Sensei Hajimemashita! in the original Japanese) has revealed it will premiere on October 8, right in the middle of Halloween season. It also took this opportunity to say the series will play as continuous two-cours, to share more members of the cast, and to get people hyped with this new visual.
As for the cast, we now know that Tomoaki Maeno plays Makoto Yamazaki, Chitose Morinaga plays Marshmallow, Tetsuya Yanagihara plays Chiisai Ojisan, Akira Takano plays Rensuke Nyuudou, and Shota Aoi plays Akira Takahashi.
They’ll be joining these confirmed actors: Ryota Ohsaka plays Haruaki Abe, Ryota Suzuki plays Mikoto Sano, Reo Tanie plays Mamekichi Maizuka, Akari Kito plays Beniko Zashiki, Hana Ayasaka plays Kuniko Utagawa, Shun Horie plays Rintaro Miki, Ryota Iwasaki plays Izuna Hatanaka, Jun Fukuyama plays the principal of Hyakki Academy, Taito Ban plays Kоtarо Hijita, Yuki Sakakihara plays Tamao Akisame, Tomokazu Sugita plays Yanagida, Takao Mitsutomi plays Yakumo Mujina, Saku Hyuga plays Toya Fuji, and Nanako Mori plays Yuri Renjo.
A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! is being made at Satelight, with Katsumi Ono of Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V and Skeleton Knight in Another World helming the project as director. The person handling series scripts is Deko Akao, known for working on Anonymous Noise and Noragami.
Yen Press publishes the manga by Mai Tanaka and gave this description for its plot:
A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! Plot
Rookie teacher Haruaki Abe is as cowardly as they come. It’s hard enough for him to handle human students without whimpering-and now he’s going to be teaching at a school full of monsters?! It’s a classroom of horrors for Haruaki, as his mischievous students use every means at their disposal to prank him! Will this poor teacher be able to get his group of ghouls under control, or is this class destined for failure?
