An anime adaptation was unveiled for Megumi Morino’s A Condition Called Love manga back in June, and now we have more info, including a premiere month. The series will kick off in April 2024, with Kana Hanazawa and Chiaki Kobayashi respectively in the lead as Hotaru Hinase and Saki Hananoi.
Check out their respective designs in new character visuals:
The main staff consists of director Tomoe Makino (Aharen-san wa Hakarenai), series composition writer Hitomi Amamiya (Chillin’ in My 30s after Getting Fired from the Demon King’s Army), character designer Akiko Sato (TRIGUN STAMPEDE) and composer yamazo (The Legendary Hero is Dead!), with animation production by East Fish Studio.
Kodansha USA publishes the A Condition Called Love manga in English and sums up the story like so:
Hotaru is a 16-year-old high school first-year who has always been ambivalent about love, preferring instead to have a lively life with her family and friends. So when she sees her schoolmate, Hananoi-kun, sitting in the snow after a messy, public breakup, she thinks nothing of offering to share her umbrella. But when he asks her out in the middle of her classroom the next day, she can’t help but feel that her life is about to change in a big way…
