
More information has arrived for the Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days anime in the form of a new trailer. The series adapts the Yano-kun no Futsu no Hibi manga by Yui Tamura, and you can see more on the cast and staff, as well as the reveal of FANTASTICS opening song “POP LIFE,” in the video below.

Shinpei Matsuo (Ascendance of a Bookworm) directs, with Deko Akao on series composition, Toshihisa Kaiya on character designs and Hideakira Kimura on music for the Ajia-do production. Newly added staff includes Yayoi Tateishi (Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions) as sound director, with Bit Groove Promotion on sound production and Nippon TV Music on music production.
Here’s a look at the latest cast members, which join previously announced stars Kohei Amasaki (as Tsuyoshi Yano) and Yuka Nukui (as Kiyoko Yoshida):

Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days has been running in Comic Days magazine since June 2021, with eight volumes collecting the story so far. There’s also a live-action film adaptation from director Takehiko Shinjo that opened on November 15, 2024 in Japan.
In the manga, Tsuyoshi Yano is a high school boy whose poor luck causes class representative Kiyoko Yoshida to worry about him constantly. The rom-com about a concerned girl and a boy covered in injuries develops as she looks out for him and the two gradually grow closer.
