Days With My Stepsister Getting ASMR Videos, No Second Season Announced

days with my stepsister

Ghost Mikawa, novelist of Days With My Stepsister, was scrolling around on the internet before discovering a rumor that the anime is getting a second season. Mikawa explained that this isn’t the case right now:

While I was ego-surfing, I came across a post that seemed to say something like the second season of Days With My Stepsister had been announced, but it hasn’t.
There might be some people who misunderstood because of my announcement the other day, but my company can’t make decisions like confirming a second season of the TV anime.
I’ll do my best, but it’s not an easy thing at all, so please support my efforts without rushing for results~

Mikawa had previously made some announcements on social media, including the announcement that there will be Days With My Stepsister ASMR stories for all ages. The first, which is about Saki Ayase, will drop on May 5, followed by a second, about Akiko Ayase, on May 11. People who are interested can buy them for 1,760 yen at Dlsite. It’s possible that the ASMR announcement somehow got confused as a second season announcement.

The first season of Days With My Stepsister came out in July 2024. It’s available for streaming on Crunchyroll.

Yen Press publishes the original light novels by Mikawa and artist Hiten, as well as their manga adaptation from Yumika Kanade. It gave this description for the first light novel:

Days With My Stepsister Plot

When his father remarries, Yuuta Asamura winds up sharing a roof with a brand-new stepsister, who is also the hottest girl in his grade! But Yuuta and his new sister, Saki Ayase, have no delusions—they both carry trauma from their parents’ difficult divorces, and they agree to keep a respectful distance. As it turns out, however, the two have a lot in common, and slowly, cautiously, they grow closer. But is the emotion blooming between them simple admiration, familial love, or something more?
