After an enigmatic tease last week, Aniplex came through with an official announcement for its next project. An anime based on Sakae Saito’s Touring After the Apocalypse manga has been revealed, with a premiere planned for sometime this year.
Konomi Inagaki and Miyu Tomita lead the cast as Yoko and Airi, respectively. Nexus (Wakaba Girl) will handle animation production for the series, which you can catch a glimpse of in the announcement video below.

Yen Press publishes the manga in English and describes it like so:
Touring After the Apocalypse Plot
All alone after the end of days, two girls ride through the desolate ruins of Japan—but they’re not about to let the collapse of civilization get in the way of sightseeing! From the hot springs of Hakone to the massive Tokyo Big Sight, they’ve got the run of the country’s most popular tourist spots all to themselves, so why not make the most of it?
