The next Pokémon anime project was previously revealed as Kairyu to Yubinya-san, or Dragonite and the Mailman. CoMix Wave Films—the studio behind Makoto Shinkai’s works—is producing, and a new trailer arrived to preview the theme song, “Kami Hikoki” by suis from yorushika x Evan Call.

Dragonite and the Mailman Trailer
Look for more information on all things Pokémon when a special Pokémon Presents livestream drops on February 27, which is also the same day the anime is set to premiere on the official YouTube channel.
Taku Kimura (“Tattooine Rhapsody” from Star Wars: Visions) is directing and handling storyboards, with Kentaro Nana writing and Maho Aoki serving as animation director and character designer, based on Asuka Dokai’s designs. Evan Call is composing the music.
The Dragonite and the Mailman anime follows Hana and her interactions with a Dragonite who also happens to be a postal worker. Together they help a boy named Rio get a letter to his father in time for his birthday.
