2.5 Dimensional Seduction Will Have a Second Season

The first season of 2.5 Dimensional Seduction wrapped up today, but there’s good news for fans — there’s going to be a season two!

We’re still waiting on details, but the above visual was shared. The series’ official website has promised to share more details in the future.

Cast members will take part in a special on December 20 where they’ll play the game 2.5 Dimensional Seduction: Angels’ Stage and chat about the first 24 episodes. 2.5 Dimensional Seduction: Angels’ Stage (a.k.a. 2.5 Jigen no Lilysa: Tenshi-tachi no Stage for the original title) is a smartphone game that’s part of the franchise. It’s described as a “cosplay battle role-playing game.”

The first season of 2.5 Dimensional Seduction was made at J.C. Staff, with Hideki Okamoto of Bakugan: Evolutions helming the project as director. The person who handled the series scripts was Takao Yoshioka, known for working on Horimiya. The music was composed by prolific composer Hiroaki Tsutsumi, whose credits include Dr. STONE, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian. The first season is streaming on HIDIVE.

Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the original manga by Yu Hashimoto and gave this description for the plot:

2.5 Dimensional Seduction Plot

“I have no interest in real girls!” So claims Okumura, the president of the school’s manga club. He’s your typical otaku, obsessed with a sexy (fictional) 2D manga character known as Lilliel. Then the new school year starts, and a (real!) 3D girl named Lilysa whose passion is cosplay joins the club. Lilysa convinces Okumura to become her photographer–and guess who her favorite manga character is? Not only that, but Lilysa is into modeling the fetishy stuff! The boundaries between 2D and 3D start to blur as this hot-blooded romantic comedy unfolds.

The original manga got its start on Shonen Jump+ website five years ago. More than a million and a half copies are out in circulation.
