January 31, 2025 marks the premiere of the new The Rose of Versailles anime film, which has MAPPA bringing Riyoko Ikeda’s classic shojo manga to the big screen. Naturally, there’s plenty of top-tier voice talent involved, and three more have just joined the lineup.
The latest cast additions—pictured below from top to bottom and left to right—include:
- Fukushi Ochiai (Sanou in BEASTARS) as Louis XVI
- Banjo Ginga (Gihren Zabi in Mobile Suit Gundam) as General Jarjayes
- Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy in One Piece) as Maron Glacé Blanc

The original manga by Riyoko Ikeda ran from 1972 to 1973, then returned from 2013 to 2018. The original 40-episode anime adaptation ran from 1979 to 1980.
