The anime 2.5 Dimensional Seduction started on July 5, but we still have its second cour to look forward to. A trailer has just dropped for it, and not only does it tell us about the new theme songs, it lets us listen to a clip of the new opening theme song “Tsugihagi no Tsubasa” (translated as “A Wing’s Patchwork”) being performed by Soraru.
2.5 Dimensional Seduction Trailer
You don’t hear it in the trailer, but the new ending theme song is titled “Release Sigh” and performed by Kaori Maeda, Akari Kito, Sayumi Suzushiro and Sayumi Watabe as their characters (Ririsa Amano, Mikari Tachibana, Nonoa and Aria, respectively).
It was also shared that Junichi Suwabe has been cast as Yoichi Higarashi.
2.5 Dimensional Seduction is being streamed in America by HIDIVE. It was originally made at J.C. Staff, with Hideki Okamoto of Bakugan: Evolutions helming the project as director. The person handling series scripts is Takao Yoshioka, whose credits include Horimiya.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the original manga by Yu Hashimoto and gave this description for the first volume:
2.5 Dimensional Seduction Plot
“I have no interest in real girls!” So claims Okumura, the president of the school’s manga club. He’s your typical otaku, obsessed with a sexy (fictional) 2D manga character known as Lilliel. Then the new school year starts, and a (real!) 3D girl named Lilysa whose passion is cosplay joins the club. Lilysa convinces Okumura to become her photographer–and guess who her favorite manga character is? Not only that, but Lilysa is into modeling the fetishy stuff! The boundaries between 2D and 3D start to blur as this hot-blooded romantic comedy unfolds.
The 2.5 Dimensional Seduction manga made its debut in 2019 on the website Shonen Jump+. So far it has more than a million and a half copies out in circulation, and odds are that number will continue to rise as more of the anime is released.
