The smartphone game Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! (a.k.a. Project Sekai: Colorful Stage feat. Hatsune Miku) previously led to the YouTube mini-anime Petit Seka (Puchi Seka). But now the franchise is going to a whole new level. That’s because CyberAgent says that Colorful Palette (part of Craft Egg) and Sega are working together to launch a movie based on the game. It’ll be called COLORFUL STAGE! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing (a.k.a. Gekijо̄ban Project Sekai: Kowareta Sekai to Utaenai Miku in Japanese) and it’s scheduled to hit Japanese theaters on January 17, 2025.
Along with the news came a short trailer and a visual.
