Based on the manga by Hiroshi Noda and Takahiro Wakamatsu, the No Longer Allowed in Another World anime is right around the corner on July 9. Before we get to the premiere, the official accounts shared a new trailer, updating fans on the cast and previewing the theme songs.
You can sample Kashitaro Ito’s opening song “Shura Nikki” and Mayu Maeshima’s ending song “Sayonara, Subarashiki Sekai yo” below.
New cast additions include Nobunaga Shimazaki as Wolf, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Suzuki, Daisuke Ono as Kaibara, Konomi Kohara as Yuriko and Tomokazu Sugita as Sengoku.
No Longer Allowed In Another World is being made at Atelier Pontdarc, with Shigeki Kawai, who has past experience with isekai from Uncle From Another World, helming the project as director. The scripts are being penned by Yasuhiro Nakanishi of Kaguya-sama: Love is War and My Love Story With Yamada-kun at Lv999.

A second life in another world with cute girls by your side and video gamey powers–sounds like a dream, right? Not so for a certain melancholy author, who would quite literally rather drop dead. Honestly, all the fantastical adventure is just getting in the way of his poetic dream of finding the perfect place to die. But no matter how much he risks his hide, everything seems to keep turning out okay. Will our terminally depressed hero find a new lease on life in this cheerfully bleak isekai comedy?
