Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc is about to go long for its next episodes. The climax is on the way in episodes 7 and 8, both of which will be longer than usual and will get a theatrical screening paired with a stage talk in Japan.
According to the announcement, episode 7 will air in a 40-minute time slot of Fuji TV, followed by the arc’s final installment, episode 8, in a 60-minute time slot.
Along with the final episode broadcast on June 30 will be a theatrical screening of both episodes at TOHO Cinema Shinjuku. The screening will also have a special talk with some of the series’ cast in attendance. The talk portion will be available to stream via Aniplex’s YouTube channel.
Those in Japan who hope to attend the screening will have to pick up their tickets through a lottery system starting on June 24.
The Demon Slayer anime continues to be directed by Haruo Sotozaki, with Akira Matsushima as character designer and chief animation director and Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina on music.
Crunchyroll streams all of the Demon Slayer anime thus far, including the new Hashira Training Arc, and describes it:
It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.
Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
