SPY x FAMILY CODE: White Tickets Available for Preorder, Dub Trailer Drops

SPY x FAMILY Film Drops New Trailer with Theme Song Preview

The anime movie SPY x FAMILY CODE: White will hit American theaters on April 19, and tickets are now available for preorder. On top of that, Crunchyroll shared a new trailer for the English dubbed version. It’s a little over two minutes long, showing what kind of adventures (and misadventures) the fake Forger family will get into.

Moviegoers will have the option to watch movie SPY x FAMILY CODE: White dubbed, like in this trailer, or in the original Japanese with English subtitles. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures are working together to put this film in the North American box office. It’ll also be in IMAX briefly.

The movie is an original story as opposed to being based on something from the SPY x FAMILY manga. But Tatsuya Endo, the creator of SPY x FAMILY, is involved with SPY x FAMILY CODE: White, credited as supervising it.

The feature film originally came out in Japan in December 2023. It was made at WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks, with Takashi Katagiri (assistant director, episode director and more for the SPY x FAMILY TV series) helming the project as director. Its script was written by Ichiro Okouchi, who has also worked on the TV show. Credit for chief animation direction goes to Kyoji Asano. The theme song is titled “Soulsoup” and performed by Official HiGE DANdism, the same band who did the show’s first opening theme.

Crunchyroll gave this description for the movie’s plot:

He’s a spy. She’s an assassin. Together, Loid and Yor keep their double lives to themselves while pretending to be the perfect family. However, their adopted daughter Anya, a telepath, knows both of their exciting secrets unbeknownst to them. While under the guise of taking his family on a weekend winter getaway, Loid’s attempt to make progress on his current mission Operation Strix proves difficult when Anya mistakenly gets involved and triggers events that threaten world peace!
