The second season of the popular anime Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation (titled Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation II) will be back in April. Ahead of this, the crew made announcements about the new opening and ending theme songs.
The new opening theme song will be called “On the Frontline” and performed by Hitorie. Meanwhile, the new ending theme song will be titled “Mamoritaimono” (translated as “What I Want to Protect”) and performed by Yuiko Ohara.
The crew did not share any clips of the songs yet, though, so we’ll still have to wait for that.
The new episodes start on April 7 at midnight in Japan (so technically on April 8). It will be streamed by Crunchyroll in North America, and the season will ultimately consist of 25 episodes.
The news of the opening and ending songs comes after learning that Saya Aizawa will play the older Norn Greyrat and Yūki Takada will play the older Aisha Greyrat.
The Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation franchise started out as light novels written by Rifujin na Magonote. The series additionally has a manga adaptation, as well as a manga spinoff called Mushoku Tensei: Roxy Gets Serious (a.k.a. Mushoku Tensei: Roxy Datte Honki desu in Japanese). All three of these were licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment, which gave this description for the plot of the original series:
