The very last category is Best Voice Artist Performance, and since Crunchyroll streams anime in their original Japanese as well various dubs, each language will get its own award. So that means that the most-voted-for actors in Japanese, English, French, German, Castilian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Arabic will each receive the award.
There are dozens of judges, including journalists and editors who cover anime, people who work with manga publishers, and reviewers. They’ll narrow each category down to six nominations. Then fans can also vote.
If you’re a Crunchyroll subscriber and want to take part, Crunchyroll explained:
“During our voting period (January 17, 9:00 AM (PT) – January 27, 11:59 PM (PT)), you can vote here once per day in a variety of categories. We’ve also made it possible to resubmit your entire ballot each day in one click.”
The Awards will occur on March 2, 2024 and be hosted by Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira. While the actual event will take place in Tokyo, people around the world will be able to stream it wherever they are.
Crunchyroll gave this description for its Anime Awards:
“Since 2017, this annual event recognizes and celebrates anime’s finest series, films, and the talented people who make them. Fans from around the world, along with a global panel of judges, cast their votes in a variety of categories, and the results are revealed at our live awards ceremony.”
