The English dub for The Dreaming Boy is a Realist (a.k.a. Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha in Japanese) will be hitting HIDIVE on November 24 (the day after Thanksgiving) at 11:00 AM EST. HIDIVE has announced info on the dub cast and crew.
A few members of the crew have been disclosed: The dub is being directed by Kyle Colby Jones, who is also working with Marta Bechtol for the English scripts. Jonathan Rodriguez, Davis Lascoe and Patrick Marrero are all audio engineers. Mix and sound design are being handled by Brent Marshall.
More members of the cast are known. According to HIDIVE, Gabriel Regojo plays Wataru, Alyssa Marek plays Aika, Chaney Moore plays Kei, Kalin Coates plays Airi, Bobby Haworth plays Arimara, Kira Vincent-Davis plays Ayano Mita, Kimberly Yates plays Claudine, Katelyn Barr plays Fuka, Karlii Hoch plays Hiyori and Koga, Star Carter plays Iihoshi, Luci Christian plays Kaede, Christy Guidry plays Kaoruko, Joanne Bonasso plays Kota, and Emily Lo plays Mina.
HIDIVE gave this description for the anime:
Wataru Sajou, who is deeply in love with his beautiful classmate Aika Natsukawa, approaches her without getting discouraged. However, one day, he wakes up thinking he’s not good enough to be with her. Wataru starts keeping a distance from her, much to Aika’s surprise. Did his intentions slip by her because she was getting impatient?! This is the start of a romcom revolving around two people who just can’t get their feelings across and both think their love is unrequited!
The anime debuted in Japan in July, and HIDIVE is currently streaming the subbed version. It’s adapted from the Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha light novel series by Okemaru, which has not been licensed in America. There is also a manga adaptation in Japan that is being published by Kadokawa and is illustrated by Popuri Yoshikita.
