The live-action Tokyo Revengers 2 is actually two movies: Chi no Halloween -Unmei- (translated as Bloody Halloween -Fate-) and Chi no Halloween -Kessen- (translated as Bloody Halloween -Decisive Battle-). The first one came out in April, but the second one isn’t due to hit Japanese theaters until June 30. Ahead of this a trailer has been released that concentrates on the characters Mikey and Kazutora.

The movies are based on the manga Tokyo Revengers by Ken Wakui. The original live-action Tokyo Revengers film came out in 2021 and is currently streaming on Crunchyroll. Tokyo Revengers is also getting an anime adaptation, and that debuted in 2021 as well. This is another title being streamed by Crunchyroll.

Looking at the cast of the movie, Takumi Kitamura plays Takemichi Hanagaki, Ryō Yoshizawa plays Mikey, Yuki Yamada plays Draken, Kento Nagayama plays Keisuke Baji, Nijirō Murakami plays Kazutora Hanemiya, Mahiro Takasugi plays Chifuyu Matsuno, and Taketo Tanaka plays Chome. The theme song “Hakanakunai” (translated as “Not Merely Fleeting”) is performed by SUPER BEAVER. Tsutomu Hanabusa continues to work as the director.

Kodansha USA Publishing is publishing the manga in America and gave this description for its plot:

“Watching the news, Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his girlfriend from way back in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, has died. The only girlfriend he ever had was just killed by a villainous group known as the Tokyo Manji Gang. He lives in a crappy apartment with thin walls, and his six-years-younger boss treats him like an idiot. Plus, he’s a complete and total virgin … At the height of his rock-bottom life, he suddenly time-leaps twelve years back to his middle school days!! To save Hinata, and change the life he spent running away, hopeless part-timer Takemichi must aim for the top of Kanto’s most sinister delinquent gang!!”
