The second season of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation (titled Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation II) will be here in early July! It debuts on July 2 at midnight in Japan (so it’s technically July 3) and will be streamed simultaneously by Crunchyroll. A new trailer has dropped for the anime, along with news on the upcoming season.
You can hear both the new opening and ending songs in the trailer. The new opening theme song is titled “spiral” and performed by LONGMAN, while the new ending theme song is called “Musubime” (translated as “Knot”) and performed by Yuiko Ōhara.
All the main actors will be back, and here’s what we know about actors for new characters: Haruka Shiraishi will play Sara, Yū Kobayashi will play Suzanne, Wataru Hatano as Timothy, Chiharu Sawashiro will play Mimir, Itaru Yamamoto will play Patris, and Kousuke Toriumi will play Soldat Heckler.
The season is being made at Studio Bind, with Hiroki Hirano helming the project as the director. This is something new, as season one of the series was directed by Manabu Okamoto.
The original novels, the manga adaptation, and the spinoff Mushoku Tensei: Roxy Gets Serious (a.k.a. Mushoku Tensei: Roxy Datte Honki desu in Japanese) are published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment. Seven Seas Entertainment gave this description for the novel:
“Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck!
