Exhibition Combines Pokemon with Traditional Japanese Craftwork

Exhibition Combines Pokemon with Traditional Japanese CraftworkEver wondered what Pokemon would look like if reimagined by traditional Japanese artisans? Wonder no longer. A new exhibition at the National Crafts Museum in Kanagawa is centered around that exact idea, and the results are awesome.

Included are Pokemon ceramics, brooches, silk kimonos, lacquerware and more. But rather than descriptions, it’s easier to just look at the stunning photos below.

The exhibition, which is titled Pokemon x Kogei: Playful Encounters of Pokemon and Japanese Craft, runs until June 11.
