Super Mario Bros. Movie Release Pushed Up to April 5Mario’s coming, and he’ll be here earlier than expected! The Super Mario Bros. Movie is now set for an April 5 release, two days earlier than the previously announced April 7 date.

In Mario’s birthplace, Japan, the film will open April 28. Mama mia.

Meanwhile, the final trailer for the film is headed our way March 9.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie comes to us from Nintendo and Illumination, which is known for making such movies as Despicable Me and Minions.

In addition to Chris Pratt as Mario and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, the cast includes Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.

The film’s directors are Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, and they’re working with Matthew Fogel’s script.

Here is the announced cast for the Japanese dub: Mamoru Miyano plays Mario, Arisa Shida plays Peach, Tasuku Hatanaka plays Luigi, Kenta Miyake plays Bowser, and Tomokazu Seki plays Toad.
