The hotly anticipated Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc will officially make its debut on April 9 in Japan. It will be a one-hour special. Ahead of this, the Demon Slayer Twitter account shared a short trailer. In it you can hear part of the opening theme song “Kizuna no Kiseki” (translated as “Bonds of Miracle”) being performed by MAN WITH A MISSION and milet.

The main Japanese actors, the director Haruo Sotozaki, the studio ufotable and the character designer and chief animation director Akira Matsushima are all confirmed to be back.
The World Tour Screenings: Demon Slayer: The Upper Ranks Gather and Onward to the Swordsmith Village is also going on. It hit theaters in Japan in February, and will open in North America this Friday. It consists of the 10th and 11th episodes of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc and the first episode of Swordsmith Village Arc. Packaged like a film, it took the number one spot at the Japanese box office when it opened, and now we’ll see how it does in North America. All told, the World Tour Screenings: Demon Slayer: The Upper Ranks Gather and Onward to the Swordsmith Village will be put on the big screens in about one hundred different countries and territories.
The original Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga by Koyoharu Gotouge began coming out in 2016, and concluded in 2020. VIZ Media publishes the whole series in English, including as a box set. VIZ gave this description for the first volume:
“Learning to destroy demons won’t be easy, and Tanjiro barely knows where to start. The surprise appearance of another boy named Giyu, who seems to know what’s going on, might provide some answers—but only if Tanjiro can stop Giyu from killing his sister first!”
