Akita Shoten Launches J-TOON Webtoons Brand
Akita Shoten is getting in on the vertical-scrolling manga game, as announced in this year’s third issue of the publisher’s Young Champion Retsu magazine. Akita Shoten’s first vertical-scrolling, full-color manga service has been revealed as the Webtoons brand J-TOON, which will soon be available across various manga apps and eBook stores in Japan.
The service will kick things off by launching five manga series on February 28. These titles include:
- Little Killer by Kousuke Nakatsu, Kousuke Tokumine and SHINE Partners
- Keiyaku Kareshi by Sabure, Yuu Kohaku and Minami Tamano
- Kore ga Ai Dato Omotta Noni ~Aru Toshi no Sakon no Hanashi~ by Shinobu Kuroda and SHINE Partners
- Kill Myself by Masaki Kitahara and Kengo Gonke
- Takarakuji ni Atatte Serebu na Machi de Keiyaku Kekkon Shimasu by Ran Sakura, Mau Mukai and Kurumi Sumomo
