A TV anime is on the way to adapt toufu’s Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero manga, and we now know more of what to expect. The series is set to premiere sometime in 2023, with the announcement coming through alongside a teaser promo, visual and some additions to the cast and staff.
Keisuke Inoue (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom) is confirmed to direct, with Toshiya Ohno (THE PROMISED NEVERLAND) on series composition and Yoshihiro Watanabe (The Testament of Sister New Devil) handling character designs at SILVER LINK and BLADE.
The latest cast additions are Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Kirito in Sword Art Online) as Fred, Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu in Demon Slayer) as Leo and Ami Koshimizu (Sailor Jupiter in Sailor Moon Crystal) as Yulia. They join the previously announced Yuichi Nakamura as Max and Naomi Ozora as the Demon Lord.

Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English and sums up the story like so:
The Demon Lord has been defeated by a brave warrior, but is destined to arise again! Ten years later, he emerges early from his slumber to exact his revenge. However, he returns to find that neither the world nor the legendary hero are what they once were. Can the powers of darkness triumph over…a shut-in slob?
