The BL movie Gekijō-ban Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu. Spain-Hen (translated as DAKAICHI -I’m being harassed by the sexiest man of the year- the Movie in Spain) is hitting Japanese theaters on October 9. Ahead of this the new DAKAICHI trailer lets us hear the theme song “Kawari Yuku Mono Kawaranai Mono” (which is translated as “Change Is Constant”).
The movie is adapted from the Spain Arc of the Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu manga, which was created by Hashigo Sakurabi. It has not been licensed in America, though it has been licensed in multiple other countries. There was previously a TV anime adaptation in 2018, which was made available to American audiences on Crunchyroll.
The movie has a returning cast from the TV series: Yūki Ono plays Junta Azumaya, Hiroki Takahashi plays Takato Saijyo, Kousuke Toriumi plays Kazuomi Usaka, Wataru Hatano plays Kiyotaka Arisu, Takuya Satō plays Chihiro Ayagi, and Yūma Uchida plays Ryō Narumiya. In new roles, Sho Hayami will play Celes and Fukushi Ochiai will play Antonio.
The movie is getting a returning crew from the anime as well, at least in terms of the top jobs. It’s being directed by Naoyuki Tatsuwa, who has also worked on Nisekoi – False Love. The job of writing the screenplay went to Yoshimi Narita, while both Minako Shiba and Senri Kawaguchi are tasked with character design. The music is being composed by Masaru Yokoyama of Fruits Basket and Horimiya.
The story follows idol Takato Saijyo and his relationship with actor Junta Azumaya. The actor uses blackmail to get the idol to be with him.
The original manga debuted in 2013, published by Libre Shuppan’s Monthly Magazine Be x Boy. So far seven volumes have come out, the most recent one being released in summer of last year.
