Anime can be used to promote or raise awareness for pretty much anything, and that goes for adult acne as well. KOSE’s skin care brand ACNEO recently put anime to use for a new campaign, and the result is a romantic anime short starring Hikari Kubota (Umamusume’s Mejiro Doner), Satoru Inoue (Magne in My Hero Academia), and Yuichiro Umehara (Goblin Slayer’s title role).
Based on a short story submitted to the ACNEO story contest, the “Not Built in a Day” short follows hard-working office lady Mitsuki Hattori (Kubota), who has had her eye on her boss (Inoue). She’s so caught up in her work, though, that she has no time to focus on her appearance. When she finds out her boss is about to be transferred, she rushes to improve her looks in time with the help of her junior, Chiba (Umehara).
