Hollywood Developing Live-Action One-Punch Man with Venom Writers
It was only a matter of time, but ONE’s One-Punch Man—which really blew up thanks to its anime adaptation based on the Yusuke Murata-illustrated version of the manga—is officially coming to Hollywood. Sony announced plans to develop a live-action One-Punch Man movie, and they’ve already tapped the writers of the hit Venom film to adapt it.
Those writers are Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, who also wrote the new Jumanji movies at Sony. Avi and Ari Arad of Arad Productions are producing the One-Punch Man movie, but we’ll have to stay tuned for further details. Sony apparently sees franchise potential with this one, so if it does well it definitely won’t be the last we see of Saitama in Hollywood.
