Those who just can’t get enough of Hajime Isayama‘s monstrous Attack on Titan series, will love one of Vertical Inc.’s biggest New York Comic Con announcements. The publisher plans to bring the prequel light novels, Attack on Titan: Before the Fall, to North America next summer.
The series comes from author Ryō Suzukaze, and features illustrations by Trinity Blood‘s THORES Shibamoto. It takes place 70 years prior to Isayama’s manga and its anime adaptation, focusing on a member of the Survey Corps named Anheru. He uses his weapons development expertise in hopes of devising a way to take down the horrifying menace of the Titans, but faces opposition from the government along the way.
Vertical also announced In the clothes named fat, the one-volume “shocking diet comic” from Moyoco Anno (Sakuran, Happy Mania). That one’s due out in summer 2014, as well.
