FUNimation has officially announced its fall simulcast schedule, with six new shows joining its streaming anime lineup. Subscribers to the FUNimation Elite Video service will be able to watch the new shows in HD and without ads when they debut.
The lineup includes Code: Breaker, Kamisama Kiss, Jormungand Perfect Order, Psycho-Pass, Robotics;Notes, and Oniai (aka Oniichan dakedo Ai sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne! or, roughly, You’re My Brother, But That Doesn’t Matter as Long as We Have Love!).
The shows will be streaming on FUNimation.com, Roku, Hulu, iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Here’s the full schedule, along with synopses for each show, from FUNimation’s release:
Code : Breaker – Premiering Wednesday, Oct 10 @ 10am
When Sakura meets Rei at school, she learns he’s no simple transfer student. He’s also a Code: Breaker, a government assassin with strange powers. Troubled by his deadly secret, Sakura sets out to show Rei the importance of life. From the director of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, a supernatural new series filled with action and comedy.
Kamisama Kiss – Premiering Wednesday, Oct 10 @ 12noon (HD simulcast only available in HD on the FUNimation Elite Video Service.)
Nanami is a poor homeless high school girl until she accepts an offer to live at an old shrine – making her the new local god! After an awkward introduction, the handsome and hard-shelled fox spirit Tomoe reluctantly vows to protect her as her familiar. As Nanami learns the ins and outs of godhood, she meets more spirits along the way—including a cute snake demon and a sexy crow demon! Directed by Akitaro Daichi, (Fruits Basket), this anime is an adaptation of the manga by Julietta Suzuki, released by Viz Media under their Shojo Beat line; the original Japanese title is “Kamisama Hajimemashita”.
Jormungand Perfect Order – Premiering Thursday, Oct 11 @ 10:30am (HD simulcast only available in HD on the FUNimation Elite Video Service.)
Child soldier Jonah is the newest member of the mercenary squad employed by Koko, an international arms dealer. The cold-blooded kid carries a deep hatred for those in Koko’s line of work, but following her into the darkest corners of the black market might be his only shot at finding the merchant of death responsible for the slaughter of his family.
Psycho-Pass – Premiering Thursday Oct 11 @ 11:45am
Get ready for Psycho-Pass, a hardboiled, gun-slinging sci-fi series from the creator of Madoka Magica and the studio that brought you Ghost in the Shell. In the future, even just thinking about a crime is enough to make you guilty – and justice is dispensed from the barrel of a gun. Detectives work in teams made up of Enforcers and Inspectors. Robotics Notes – Premiering Friday Oct 12 @ 11:15am
