Sing and Dance Along with Takashi Miike’s Ai to Motoko
The next film from ever-prolific director Takashi Miike (Audition, 13 Assassins, Ichi the Killer, the list goes on…) is an adaptation of the ’70s shonen romance manga Ai to Motoko. The film version, For Love’s Sake, has been promoted via a handful of trailers, and one of the latest highlights some of its song and dance stylings.
The original manga comes from sports manga legend Ikki Kajiwara, AKA Takamori Asao of Tiger Mask fame, with illustrations by Takumi Nagayasu.
Miike’s Ai to Motoko adaptation opens in Japan on June 16.
