I think it’s safe to say that the live-action film adaptation of Capcom’s Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series—directed by the prolific and wild Takashi Miike (Audition, 13 Assassins)—is one of the more hotly anticipated movies of this year. Anaheim, CA-based convention AM2 is looking to deliver some relief with a screening of the film at this year’s event.
The announcement of the film’s US premiere mentions that two screenings will take place during the convention, one of which will be available only to Passport holders, with the second offering general attendees admittance as seating permits.
Miike’s take on Ace Attorney primarily follows the story and cases of the first game in the series, weaving in sci-fi elements to make for a faithful and fun adaptation. Anyone plan on hitting up AM2 this year?
