September 29, 2011 While the last couple of weeks have been somewhat dire on the download front, Nintendo’s Thursday update this time around has a double dose of oh so sweet treats in store.
Chief among them is the appearance of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. While the first Super Mario Land is a classic in its own way, the followup is much more in line with the Mario we’ve come to know and adore. This 1992 gem is absolutely one of the best portable Mario titles, so don’t hesitate to pick it up via the Nintendo eShop for 3DS.
To even out the fancy free feeling of spending money on virtual goods, Nintendo also has a FREE offer this week, and it’s no throwaway gimmicky doodad. For a limited time, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DSi owners can download the multiplayer anniversary edition of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords free of charge.
What are you waiting for? That’s a deal worth flipping the portable open and briefly hopping online for if there ever was one.
