If you’ve been waiting to see the lengthily titled I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability English dub, then it’s time to mark your calendars! The very first dubbed episode will drop on Monday, April 15, so it can be something to cheer you up after you file your taxes.
Crunchyroll, which will stream it, provided information on the cast and crew. Looking toward the dub cast, Meg McClain plays Lloyd, Sara Ragsdale plays Grim, Jim Foronda plays Grim (Demon), Morgan Berry plays Sylpha, and Travis Mullenix plays Pre-Lloyd. Zac Loera is listed as providing additional voices.
The dub is being directed by Lee George, with production being done by Zach Bolton. Clayton Browning is credited with adaptation. Rickey Watkins is tasked with being the mixer, and the dub’s engineer is Ian Emerson.
The anime was made at Tsumugi Akita Anime Lab, with Jin Tamamura of Meiji Gekken: 1874 helming the project as director. Credit for series composition goes to Naoki Tozuka, and Ryuta Iida, known for working on Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero, composed the music.
The franchise for I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability started out as a light novel series from Kenkyo na Circle and meru. Kodansha USA is publishing its manga adaptation in English and gave this description for the plot:
Prince Lloyd wasn’t always a prince…in fact, his previous life is one he remembers perfectly: he was a sorcerer, of sorts. So when he was forced to reincarnate, he decided to continue his studies, prince of the realm or no! But his new life has its own sets of challenges…including being a 10-year-old! What’s the 7th prince/sorcerer to do?!
