Yui Tamura’s romantic-comedy manga Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days (Yano-kun no Futsu no Hibi) is officially coming to the screen. An official website opened, confirming that an anime adaptation is underway, with further details to come at a later date. The anime plans were first teased alongside the live-action project back in July.
While we wait for more info on the anime, Tamura shared the illustration below to commemorate the news:
Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days has been running in Comic Days magazine since June 2021, with eight volumes collecting the story so far. There’s also a live-action film adaptation on the way from director Takehiko Shinjo, with the opening set for November 15, 2024 in Japan.
In the manga, Tsuyoshi Yano is a high school boy whose poor luck causes class representative Kiyoko Yoshida to worry about him constantly. The rom-com about a concerned girl and a boy covered in injuries develops as she looks out for him and the two gradually grow closer.
