Ya Boy Kongming! TV Anime Adaptation Announced

ya boy kongming!

What happens when Chinese warring states military strategist Zhuge Liang, AKA Kongming, gets transported to modern day Shibuya during the annual Halloween celebration? That’s a very specific question, but we have an answer thanks to Ya Boy Kongming!, a manga series written by Yuto Yotsuba and illustrated by Ryo Ogawa. Next up for the series is an anime adaptation in April 2022, and a teaser promo is here along with the announcement.

Ryotaro Okiayu (Byakuya Kuchiki in Bleach) is in the lead as Kongming, with Kaede Hondo (Sakura Minamoto in ZOMBIE LAND SAGA) as Eiko Tsukumi. Osamu Honma (episode director for The aquatope on white sand) is directing, Yoko Yonaiyama (Umamusume: Pretty Derby) is on series composition, and Kanami Sekiguchi (SHIROBAKO) is character designer for the P.A. Works production.
