Wistoria: Wand and Sword Anime Adds to Cast, Reveals Character Trailer


More cast members have been revealed along with a character trailer for Wistoria: Wand and Sword, the upcoming July 2024 anime adapting Fujino Omori and Toshi Aoi’s manga series.

The new additions include Tomokazu Seki as Workner Norgram and Koji Yusa as Edward Serfence. There’s also a third new character being teased in Rosty Nowman, but the cast member has yet to be revealed.

Chainsaw Man action director Tatsuya Yoshihara is at the helm for this one, with Sayaka Ono (CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon) on character designs and Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia) composing music for the Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures production.

The Wistoria: Wand and Sword manga has been running in the pages of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since December 2020. Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English and describes the story like so:

A new, magical dungeon-adventure fantasy series from the author of Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?! To fulfill the promise he made to his childhood friend, Will Serfort enters Regarden Magic Academy with the goal of making it to the top of the magical world. There’s just one problem—he doesn’t know how to use magic! Will the seemingly ordinary sword in his hand be the key to unlock his true potential?
