September 30, 2024 The annual Tokyo Game Show weekend has come to a close. But, not without big announcements from your favorite developers!
We have a rundown of this year’s game announcements from the Xbox event to new Capcom releases. Keep reading for a roundup of TGS 2024 news.
Xbox Tokyo Game Show Event
There were plenty of exciting announcements including a trailer of Konami’s Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls coming early 2025, and a sweet new indie by Kyoto-developers Denkiworks, Tanuki: Pon’s Summer.
While Game Pass was light earlier this month, Xbox surprised us with five solid titles that are ready to play now. There was also a special Game Pass announcement for StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft 2, arriving this November.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an Xbox event without new Xbox Game Pass exclusives. Games Coming to Game Pass include:
- We Love Katamari Reroll and Royal Reverie
- All You Need Is Help
- Trials of Mana and Legend of Mana
- StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft 2

Sega
Sega’s big push at TGS this year was its upcoming titles: Sonic X Shadow: Generations coming out October 25th, the new RPG Atlus’ Metaphor: ReFantazio from Studio Zero launching October 11th, and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii releasing February 2025.
Bandai Namco
This year Bandai Namco focused on their two flagship titles, first is its new fighting game, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the successor to the Dragon Ball: Budokai Tenkaichi fighting games, and Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, which is available to pre-order now on Steam.
Capcom
Capcom had a strong presence pushing its new release Monster Hunter Wilds, coming out February 28, 2025.
