Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess Manga Takes Month off After Author’s Hospitalization

Time for Torture

Robinson Haruhara and Hirakei’s Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess manga will be taking a month off. According to the duo’s announcement, the break has been put in place so Haruhara can focus on recovering after being hospitalized for a few days early in November. Haruhara has a swollen uvula due to numerous colds, so in the meantime they’ll be putting their health first.

Haruhara assured everyone they’re doing well and have already been drafting the layouts of future chapters and checking up on the anime adaptation’s continuing progress. The manga will return to serialization on December 31, 2024.

The series first launched via Shonen Jump+ in April 2019, and an anime adaptation premiered in January 2024. A second season is in the works, with Crunchyroll already planning to stream it. Here’s how they describe the series:

Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess Plot

As the war between the Imperial Army and Hellhorde rages on, the Princess, despite being armed with her mythical sword Excalibur, is captured and imprisoned. What kind of torture does she face at the hands of the chief demon interrogator? Fluffy fresh-baked toast! Hot, steaming ramen! Oh, the humanity! Can the Princess withstand these tormenting treats and keep her kingdom’s secrets safe?
