Kocha Agasawa, author of You and I Are Polar Opposites, is officially getting another manga adapted into anime. An adaptation was revealed for one of the author’s previous works, the slice-of-life manga known as The Ramparts of Ice, with further details to be confirmed at a later date.

For now, you can see the commemorative illustration by Agasawa above.

Also known under the English title Ice Castle Wall, The Ramparts of Ice started as a self-published Webtoon before moving to serialization via the Line Manga app. That version ran from January 2020 to April 2022, and the series has since been collected in 13 volumes. The series previously ranked second in The Manga We Want To See Animated Ranking poll back in March 2023.

The story of The Ramparts of Ice follows a high school girl with cold facial expressions and a similarly icy attitude. As a result, she’s seen as unapproachable, but this changes when she meets a boy who can’t help but want to get closer.

While we wait for more on this one, the You and I Are Polar Opposites anime is penciled in for a January 2026 premiere.
