The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei: He Just Solves All the Mysteries is a supernatural mystery manga by Aki Shimizu, based on Natsuhiko Kyogoku’s Rozen Kreuz novel series, and now it’s getting an anime. The main staff was revealed along with a teaser visual and plans for a broadcast in Japan sometime in 2025.
The manga first kicked off in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Edge in October 2019 before moving to the Comic Days app in October 2023.
The main staff for The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei anime includes director Chihiro Kumano (episodes of Moriarty the Patriot), series composition writer Atsushi Oka (Hensuki) and character designer Masahiko Suzuki (Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs). Our setting is in Tokyo in 1948, just right after the war. Kanna Kusakabe had just become a second-year at a high school when she meets the new language teacher, Akihiko Chuzenji.
Mysterious supernatural things keep happening around Kanna. Once again today, Kanna is going to open the doors to the library prep room to seek help from the surly Chuzenji-sensei who is waiting inside.
