The Exit 8 Horror Game Gets Live-Action Film

The Exit 8 Horror Game Gets Live-Action FilmThe Exit 8, the creepy indie Japanese horror game that made waves this year, is getting a live-action film adaptation.

The game, which came out on Windows last year and various consoles this year, is a first-person game in which you must escape from a maze-like Japanese train station. It became quite a sensation, with over 1 million downloads as of August.

The live-action adaptation was announced via a trailer that replicates the look and feel of the game. The narration, which echoes the game’s instructions, goes: “Do not overlook any anomalies. If you find an anomaly, turn back immediately. If you do not find any anomalies, do not turn back. Go out from Exit 8.”

The movie will be released in 2025 and is distributed by Toho.
