If you’re looking for a heart-warming CG-animated treat on Christmas Eve, Netflix has something special planned for fans of classic character Doraemon. The November 2020-released STAND BY ME Doraemon 2 will launch on Netflix in the US on December 24, complete with English dub options.
While there is a page for it, there’s no streaming release date yet for the first STAND BY ME Doraemon film on Netflix. Both of them are currently available on Netflix in Japan with English, Japanese, and Korean language options.
Directed once again by Takashi Yamazaki, with Ryuichi Yagi as co-director, STAND BY ME Doraemon 2 has Doraemon and Nobita visiting Nobita’s grandmother in the past. When she expresses her wish to see Nobita’s wedding day in the future, an abundance of time-travel complications are let loose.
