Spoof Manga Tentai Senshi Sunred Gets Anime Treatment

Anyone who knows me well enough will tell you I’m a sucker for anything tokusatsu related. Certainly not to the lengths of our own Mighty Mike Dent, but I’m a fan nonetheless. With that in mind, it’s no wonder my interest is piqued over the looming anime adaptation of Tentai Senshi Sunred, a spoof on both classic anime and tokusatsu shows by Makoto Kubota, which has been serialized in Square Enix’s Young Gangan since 2005.

With animation by AIC A.S.T.A. (Bamboo Blade, GUNxSWORD) and direction by Galaxy Angel Rune‘s Seiji Kishi, Sunred looks to take over the airwaves with a premiere slated for October. In the meantime, check out Kubota’s personal site, there’s some pretty cool artwork there!
