12 is a big number for the Sister Princess series, since 12 sisters were originally featured in the franchise, so it’s fitting that a teaser countdown started with the number 12 at 12:00p Japan Time on April 7. Details are pretty much nonexistent at this point, but it looks like the official accounts might be counting down the days until something is announced.
That announcement, if it ends up going down as fans assume is planned, should occur on April 19. Adding fuel to the fire, Karen voice actor Natsuko Kuwatani hopped on Twitter to say, “Onii-chan, are you ready for your heart?”

This wouldn’t be the first item celebrating the franchise’s 20th anniversary. Five of the sisters made their Virtual YouTuber debut as part of the festivities in 2019, including Karen (Natsuko Kuwatani), Sakuya (Yui Horie), Kaho (Hisayo Mochizuki), Mamoru (Yumiko Kobayashi) and Aria (Nana Mizuki). They even put on virtual concerts, with the second and final being September 2021’s Sister Princess Live Stage ZERO ~Dream Ship~. Needless to say, the anniversary has had some extended legs.
We’ll have to wait a bit longer to see what they’re up to next!
