Have you been keeping up with the Sakamoto Days anime? The adaptation of Yuuto Suzuki’s hit manga took off running (a convenience store) on January 11, and Netflix is checking in with a mid-season trailer to preview more of the series.
Sakamoto Days Mid-Season Preview
The preview focuses on the English dub, which stars Matthew Mercer as Taro Sakamoto, Dallas Liu as Shin Asakura, Rosie Okumura as Aoi Sakamoto, Xolo Maridueña as Heisuke, SungWon Cho as Boiled and more.
The Sakamoto Days anime has Masaki Watanabe (the first Bartender anime) as director, with Taku Kishimoto (BLUE LOCK: Episode of Nagi) on series composition and Yo Moriyama on character designs for the TMS Entertainment production.
The Sakamoto Days manga has been running in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump since November 2020. VIZ Media publishes the manga in English and describes the story like so:
Sakamoto Days Plot
Time has passed peacefully for Sakamoto since he left the underworld. He’s running a neighborhood store with his lovely wife and child and has gotten a bit…out of shape. But one day a figure from his past pays him a visit with an offer he can’t refuse: return to the assassin world or die!
New episodes hit Netflix every Saturday at 6:30am Pacific Time.
