After originally being unveiled in April, we now have a better idea of when to expect the ROLL OVER AND DIE anime adaptation. According to a newly-launched official website and X (formerly Twitter) account, the series—which has the full title of ROLL OVER AND DIE: I Will Fight for an Ordinary Life with My Love and Cursed Sword!—is set to begin its broadcast in 2026.
The news arrived with a teaser trailer, teaser visual and cast addition. For the latter, Ayaka Nanase has been announced as the voice of Flum Apricot.

The original novels come from Kiki, who started the series as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in January 2018. The published version features illustrations by Kinta, and there’s also a manga adaptation by Sunao Minakata. Seven Seas, which releases the novels in English, describes them like so:
Flum Apricot was never meant to be a hero. Despite zero stats across the board and a power she can’t even use, she somehow finds herself included in a party of heroes. But Flum’s life hits rock bottom when the party’s renowned sage, Jean Inteige, decides that the useless girl is dead weight, and arranges to have her sold into slavery. Tossed to monsters to be feasted upon for her master’s entertainment, Flum makes the desperate choice to reach for a cursed weapon…and something new awakens within her. A grimdark tale about one woman’s blood-soaked quest to reclaim her life!
