An anime adaptation was first announced for Maedakun’s Puniru wa Kawaii Slime romantic comedy manga in December 2023, and now the release has been narrowed down. A new trailer, key visual and cast members arrived along with word that the series will kick off its broadcast on TV TOKYO in Japan in October 2024.

Yushi Ibe is directing the anime, with Michiko Yokote on series composition, Aya Tanaka on character designs and Izumi Mori on music for the TOHO animation STUDIO production.
The Puniru wa Kawaii Slime manga is serialized in Shogakukan’s digital manga magazine Weekly CoroCoro Comic, with four collected volumes in print at the time of this writing. The story follows a young boy named Kotaro and a slime he created named Puniru, which took the form of a cute and carefree girl.
