Orb: On the Movements of the Earth Anime Introduces Shoya Ishige as Albert

A new cast member has been announced for the Orb: On the Movements of the Earth anime, which is currently enjoying a 25-episode run. The latest addition throws voice actor Shoya Ishige (Joshua Juukulius in Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-) into the mix as a young baker named Albert Brudzewski.

Orb: On the Movements of the Earth is being made at Madhouse, with Kenichi Shimizu of Parasyte -the maxim– and All Out!! helming the project as director. The person handling series scripts is Shingo Irie, who is known for working on AFTERLOST. Credit for character design goes to Masanori Shino of Black Lagoon. The music is composed by veteran composer kensuke ushio, whose credits include A Silent Voice, Liz and the Blue Bird, and The Heike Story.

The Orb: On the Movements of the Earth manga by Uoto is being published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment. Seven Seas gave this description for the plot:

In the fifteenth century, claiming that the Earth revolves around the sun was a heresy that could get believers burned at the stake. Child prodigy Rafal is introduced to the truth about the universe by his mentor, and then must flee when the Inquisition comes to mete out “God’s justice.” With only a peculiar pendant to guide him, will Rafal discover his master’s research, and can he and other believers set the world alight?
