Sakamoto Days fans have plenty to look forward to outside of Yuuto Suzuki’s main manga. In addition to the upcoming anime, the series has inspired spinoffs, including a new novel that’s on the way from Shueisha this December.
The novel, titled Sakamoto Days Koroshiya Blues (Sakamoto Days: Assassin Blues), comes from Renka Misaki, who also penned the first novel adaptation, Sakamoto Days Koroshiya no Method (Sakamoto Days: Assassin’s Method). According to the announcement, the new spinoff novel will feature exclusive episodes.
Following the Sakamoto one-shot that hit Jump Giga back in December 2019, the manga first launched in Jump in November 2020. November 1 of this year will mark the publication of the 19th collected volume in Japan.
VIZ Media publishes the Sakamoto Days manga and describes the story like so:
Sakamoto Days Plot
Time has passed peacefully for Sakamoto since he left the underworld. He’s running a neighborhood store with his lovely wife and child and has gotten a bit…out of shape. But one day a figure from his past pays him a visit with an offer he can’t refuse: return to the assassin world or die!
