We first heard word of the My Dress-Up Darling anime sequel back in September 2022, and now we may have a better idea of when to expect it. According to an Amazon listing for an upcoming issue of Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine, the sequel is currently penciled in for a premiere sometime in 2025.
This will follow the first season adapting the manga by Shinichi Fukuda, also known as Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru. That one aired in January 2022 and ran for 12 episodes.
The My Dress-Up Darling anime is currently streaming on Crunchyroll. Here’s the official synopsis:
My Dress-Up Darling Plot
Wakana Gojo is a high school boy who wants to become a kashirashi–a master craftsman who makes traditional Japanese Hina dolls. Though he’s gung-ho about the craft, he knows nothing about the latest trends, and has a hard time fitting in with his class. The popular kids–especially one girl, Marin Kitagawa–seem like they live in a completely different world. That all changes one day, when she shares an unexpected secret with him, and their completely different worlds collide.
